What type of wood do you feel drawn to?

Are you interested in adding an inlay? Is there a particular type of stone or metal that has meaning to you?

Do you like darker woods such as walnut? Do you like lighter woods such as maple? Or is there a color/tone you are interested in such as the red of padauk or the golden of osage orange or the...well...purple of purpleheart?

Do you prefer modern, clean lines or something more organic and curvy?

Are you drawn to natural images or would this piece benefit from some sort of geometric pattern?

Would you like to use one type of wood, or more?

Do you have a special piece of wood that you would like me to use or incorporate into the piece?

Is there an image, word, or phrase that you would like to burn onto the object?

Is there a meaningful animal, plant, flower, landscape, or symbol you want on the piece?

A note about remembrances

I have a background in working with end of life care and I have gone through my own share of grief. Having a tangible object to hold, to sit with, to focus your feelings on, can be a great comfort.

If you have lost someone in your life, I would truly love to help you make something special to remember them by. Did they have a favorite phrase? A favorite flower? Do you have a log from their special tree or wood from something they built? To you have some other object that you would like to incorporate? Is there a song that reminds you of them? Do you need a comforting place to keep ashes or other memories?
